MASTER IN WBI Grants –  FUNDING FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The MASTER IN – WBI Grants for the academic year 2026–2027 are now open!

1. Scholarship Description: The MASTER IN – WBI Grants scholarship provides financial support of up to 10,020 EUR per year for each selected candidate, covering monthly allowances, tuition fees, travel expenses, and health insurance. It is intended for international students wishing to pursue a master’s degree at French-speaking higher education institutions in Wallonia or Brussels starting from the academic year 2026/2027.

2. Main Requirements:

  • Academic degree requirement : applicants must hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree issued by the competent authorities of their country, obtained no more than five (5) years before the start of the requested programme. The Bachelor’s degree must be relevant and directly related to the Master’s programme applied for at ARTS².

Example:

  • Bachelor in Piano → Master in Piano
  • Bachelor in Theatre / Performing Arts → Master in Theatre

Applications where the academic background is not coherent with the chosen Master’s programme may not be considered eligible.

3. Scholarship Benefits:

  • Monthly allowance.
  • Coverage of tuition fees.
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses.
  • Health insurance.

4. Application Process:

To apply, candidates must:

  1. Read carefully all the informations available at the Application Guide, the MASTER IN website
  2. Read carefully the Master programmes available at ARTS² : ARTS² | École Supérieure des Arts | Mons – Belgique
  3. Prepare to upload the following required documents:

As it is not possible to upload large files (videos, audio files or portfolios) directly via the application form, all materials must be shared via online links (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Dropbox, personal website, etc.) at the application form .Please make sure that all links are accessible (no access request required).

  • Copy of the international passport or national identity card;
  • Copy of the diploma(s) obtained and transcript(s) of records ;
  • A one-page maximum curriculum vitae (if applicable, including academic background, previous scholarships, and any professional experience relevant to the chosen master’s programme, etc.).
  • For theatre candidates and pedagogical master candidats, a minimum B2 level in French is required. This level must be demonstrated by an officially recognised certificate (e.g. DELF B2, DALF, TCF, TEF, or an equivalent university-issued language certificate).

Additional artistic requirements :

  • For Music candidates (Composition): Please submit scores of at least three (preferably four) of your own compositions, along with audio recordings of the works.
  • For Music candidates (Instrument Players): Please submit a video recording of 15 to 20 minutes, preferably including three pieces in different styles.
  • For Theatre candidates: Please submit a video recording of your choice, such as a video presentation, performance excerpts, monologues, or similar material.
  • For Visual Arts candidates: Please upload a portfolio of your artistic work.
  • For Dance candidates: Please submit a video recording of your choice, such as a video presentation, performance excerpts or similar material.

If documents are written in a language other than French or English, they must be accompanied by a certified translation.

  1. Submit the application by filling the form before the deadline: March 31, 2026, by midnight (Brussels time) at the latest.Applications sent by email will not be taken into account. Only candidates who follow the steps explained above will be considered.

This application form serves both as an application to the MASTER IN programme and as an admission process to the school.
Submitting this form therefore implies that candidates are applying for academic admission in addition to their interest in the MASTER IN programme.

Please note that if you are not selected as a recipient of the MASTER IN scholarship but still wish to study at ARTS², you will be required to register for and take the entrance examinations.

5. Selection Criteria:

  • Academic merit.
  • Relevance of the program to the candidate’s professional development.
  • Potential impact in their home country.

Please note that applying for this scholarship does not confirm that you will receive the funding. You will still need to pass two selection processes. In case of doubt, please consult the application guide and the Master in WBC website.
